A man uses the anonymity of internet chat rooms to feed his perversions and sexual inadequacies; exposing the inner workings of a debauched mind that sits within the deepest horror of consciousness. A character that is so depraved we could never imagine anything worse. When we think we have seen the very essence of evil, can we imagine anything worse? Debauched - Evil - Anyone want to chat?
Gene David Kirk is a new writer with a new voice. Using timely issues Gene’s work is provocative and, at times, disturbing, as it seeks to access the inner workings of the human mind and spirit through far reaching theatrical devices to provoke a response. Gene David Kirk is currently working as an assistant director at The Gate, London's home of international drama; presenting new writing and undiscovered classics from around the world in original and visually imaginative productions. As a writer and director, Gene has been working at the National Theatre Studio, Motley Design School and RADA. His first play, Where & When, was staged at London’s Cockpit Theatre in 2002 as part of their Laboratory Theatre work. Another new work, Snowdrop, is a play on the Bosnian conflict and the personal costs therein, and is currently being read by London theatres.
