One of a dying breed of panto dames gets into Widow Twankey make up as he bitterly reflects on his hidden gay life and prepares revenge on the reality TV upstart usurping his position. It’s a sad tale of an elderly remnant of a lost world. Robert Walsh has some lovely moments but these were dimmed by hesitation and a lack of drive. His transformation was reasonable but on a different day could be spectacular.
