Gobsmackingly good ... !
This immersive, basement, loud, shocking, moving production was an absolute f**king delight. Despite spending over an hour sitting on the hard floor and having things thrown at us, splashed at us and crawling over us (or perhaps because of these things) this is probably my top show of this year's fringe (so far at least!).
How this team manages up to 3 performances a day of this high octane production I have no idea - perhaps they're on drugs? (joke!!!). Whatever, we are positively hammered into the story from the get-go and are dragged along as the characters lives crumble, collapse, recover and self-destruct. These are definitely the "them" to most of our "us" yet we instantly engage with, and care about, their lives. Quite a moving and even moral story emerges from the grim and sh*t of their lives and relationships.
The tour will continue and when it comes to Bristol I reckon I'll be there again (perhaps with a cushion for my aging bum) ... LOVED IT
