A night at the Rocky Horror is always a pleasure and this production was no exception - slick and full of beans it carried the audience along (or was it the other way around!) without surprises - just as it should be.
Dom Joly played an excellent Narrator with Joanne Clifton and James Darch as suitably dumb Janet and Brad. Kristian Lavercombe's Riff Raff is a delight to watch and Duncan James certainly didn't disappoint as Frank! The whole cast (and musicians) were on point, pace was excellent and everything was spot on.
This is not, and was never intended to be, a show that innovates in its productions - it is meant to follow its own formula and it does that with skill and an amazing freshness. Watch till the end of the final medley as Joanne and Callum Evans (Rocky) let rip and shake off their characters to show a real delight in what they're doing.
A great evening, the show is as much the audience as the cast but heh - what do you expect!
