The Murder of Molly Miller

It's a straightforward one act play with a good payoff ending. A guy breaks into a social influencer's flat but she catches him during the robbery so he takes her hostage. They then have to find a way out of the situation. Both actors give committed performances, but it takes time to tune in to their accents, so I missed some of the comedy lines. She has chosen a voice which is particularly grating but suits the character. The lighting is strange, not giving enough light on the action but with a bright circle edging the stage. This is a pretty effect, but it didn't delineate the room and became very wearing to stare across - dimmed to half power would have given the effect without the annoyance. A bit like the accents.
