Genuinely amazing piece of theatre that captures the breadth and feeling of the story and delivers surprises, drama and delight.
Ok, so we are quite late to seeing this show, but it has been on our "must see" list for a while - getting to London is a rarer event now though than it used to be. I am also less enamoured by London audiences than those in the regions - they always seem to think it is fine for them to chat all through a show, or am I just unlucky?
The set and staging for this show are so clever and yet manage to make the changes without stopping the flow. The puppetry is amazing, you quickly forget that these aren't real and buy in completely to their lives.
The story is not simple and there are some harsh moments but it remains suitable for all ages and, for me, justified its "must see" status ... delighted to have finally made the trip.
