Back again, not as a reviewer this time but as a paying customer - yep, I really love ths way of starting your Fringe day .... this time with six playlets to enjoy.
Quack: sweet, daft and funny - gthat could refer to cast, script and performance ... a fun one
Blabbermouth: I really appreciated the writing here, it may look easy but believe me, this scripting technique is a nightmare to get right (no spoilers here!) ... they managed to keep the story moving with fabulous cue bite where required and appropriate pauses when needed. Clever and interesting, most enjoyable ... it took my partner a short while to spot the trick, now that was impressive!
The Sweet Smell of Lemon: A great two hander showing the versatility of Cassandra Hidges and Katrina Holloway
Four Senses of Love: So damned clever this one, it leaves you thinking for ages afterwards ... perhaps the sense-deprived really can only communicate with each other properly
Your Kiss is on My List: Unusual, swift, funny and beautifully pointed by both actors
Cate Blanchett wants to be my friend on Facebook: Odd, funny, clever, and really well acted ...
Ok, so those aren't really reviews but like I say, I wasn't there as a reviewer, I just wanted to give this fabulous show another plug and a name check for this cast I hope to see again in the future; Annie Harris, Cassandra Hodges, Dan Greest, Javier Rasero, Katrina Holloway, Owen Bleach and Verona Moitt (who we didn't see) and, of course, their writers, director(s) and team ;-) great job guys, I hope you're back next year.
The annoying thing? I didn't realise I would enjoy this so much so I failed to make sure I got a Menu 1 ticket - I will not be making that mistake again!
