Stand By

Four police officers wait in a riot van for a potential forced entry. As the boredom and frustration creeps in we see the intrusions of their private lives, other cases and petty squabbles to the pressure cooker of the van. Forceful writing and performances with nicely paced direction build the tension and the end is excellently handled. The audience are privie to both the on-stage dialogue and the radio traffic which they get via ear-pieces worn by all audience members.
