What a truly remarkable piece of theatre.

Looking at drug and alcohol addiction and recovery and the impact on the addicts and their families this is a hard hitting play that is, at times, truly uncomfortable to watch. The representation of the first stages of detox are quite remarkable - never been there myself but felt some of the horror screaming off the stage.

The performances are spell binding and the play itself is sad, funny and clever in its portrayal of a world most of us will hopefully never get dragged into. Lisa Dwyer Hogg's Emma (or Sarah, or Lucy, or ...) is powerful, vulnerable and beautifully nuanced and Trevor Fox's Paul/Dad poignantly detached and confused - but in truth this is an ensemble piece that can only succeed with complete commitment.

To say I enjoyed this play would be odd, it actually left my stomach knotted and my head spinning. Marvelous theatre, thoroughly recommended
