Northern Ballet are Hot

Northern Ballet Theatre's offices were ravaged by fire on 30th Mar .. but today they were back in business thanks to trhe provision of services by the Halifax, the NBT's company sponsor. The Halifax were able to provide workstations, offices and phones to enable the team to keep working.

The fire followed a break-in on the floor below NBT but spread rapidly causing serious damage to the finance, education and wardrobe depts plus destroying the shared office of the Artistic Director and Chief Executive.

Luckily the costumes for the forthcoming Romeo and Juliet tour largely survived but sadly an estimated 90% of costumes for Dracula and A Christmas Carol were damaged beyond repair.
