This is the personal story of Paul Jenkins which looks back at his time in Russia in 2001 and the effects it had on his life. Looking back on a vodka-fueled life that led to him having a long casula, then non-casula relationship with a younger woman. The relationship descended into extreme, and eventually destructive, behaviours with Jenkins finally breaking it off.
The story telling and performane were great - but the story itself seemed self-indulgent and the characters and their behaviours unpleasant at the least. The images conjoured of Russia in general, and Moscow in particular, during that period were fascinating - but, for me, the people were not.
