Jon Culshaw is an undeniable talent but this show just doesn't gel. I didn't find the "TV interludes" helpful, perhaps if they had been from the original productions they might have helped with context but they did not. The rest of the show seemed to just jump around all over the place. Whilst Culshaw gives an excellent impression of Dawson as a performer I just couldn't buy into his "Dawson as a man".
