Fans of the great Tommy Cooper will be intrigued to hear of a rare production in the Lyric Theatre Studio of Gary Lyons {Frankie & Tommy::L0130249066}. Frankie Lyons, a short, cheeky, down-to-earth comic (and father of Gary) met up with the young Tommy Cooper and attempted to form a double act. This is the true tale of the beginning of Cooper s career and of his attempts to entertain the troops in Egypt in 1946, whence came the famous fez. The production opens on 20 November with Christopher Brand and Ben Fox in the title roles.
