Journey's End

This outstanding production of RC Sherriff’s 75 year old Great War play has just celebrated a year in the West End with a gala performance and party as well as the announcement of yet another extended run (until February 19 with a possible return in September).

It remains a definitive production in every way – taut, claustrophobic, meticulously paced direction; subtle, disciplined and heart rending performances from the wonderful ensemble cast; and the best soundscape of any straight play in living memory.

If you haven’t seen it already, you really should, there’s unlikely to be a more moving, thought-provoking evening in the London theatre this, or any other year.
