Lyndon Chapman’s debut play follows Dev as he grows up in the run-down Margate of the early 2000's - finding out that he's gay and fantasising a wonderful life in London. We follow him through his growth into adulthood and disillusionment with the reality of London life until he finally returns to his Margate only to find that it is no longer his Margate but is overrun with the very Londoners he was returning to avoid.
This play is beautifully written and deftly acted with raw emotion on show. Powerful stuff that left me genuinely moved.
