I Keep a Woman in My Flat Chained to a Radiator

I really wanted this surreal little comedy to work. The nugget of the idea is fun, a man has a girl captive, chained, in his flat and she is helping him prepare for a first date. There's a lot of funny writing here, some nice one-liners and the absurd form of the Stockholm Syndrome has some mileage in it. And then they say that he has raped her and my whole mood changed.

We should be able to base comedy on anything and kidnapping and imprisonment is pretty strong but somehow throwing a rape and some violence in as part of how he "acquired" her left me cold and took the fun out of the piece.

The actors had some good timing but lacked chemistry and some of the business with the chain was clumsy so by the time the final twist about her freedom came I had lost interest.
