This is a fascinating play beautifully performed by Derek Crawford Munn. It imagines Hess, at the end of his life, addressing you, the modern day audience, and explaining how and why he did what he did. Why he joined Hitler, became his deputy, came on a secret peace mission to the UK during the war and ended up alive, but imprisoned for life in Spandau.
A fascinating piece that taught me a lot, reminded me of some things I already knew and opened a whole bunch of questions and perspectives that had never occurred to me. Entertaining and clever, this is a thought proviking piece of theatre.
