Jakhwa Creations re-interpret the Othello story. Othello and Iago are in Hell forever, plagued by nightmares of Desdemona's death. Iago thinks he can find a way out. Performed in Korean with surtitles, it is easier to follow than you might expect. Hell is repetition, many speeches recur. Told in physical, acrobatic dance along with narrative, this is a colourful spectacle. Set and costumes feature red, gold and white. Red and white handkerchiefs litter the stage around Othello 's cage/temple. A highlight for me was the storm at sea. A treat for those who love serious international theatre.
