How wrong can you be? I saw mics and amps in that small space and thought “unnecessary”. They proved me wrong with a play remarkably for writing, direction and performance. The tech add an interesting dimension to this harrowing work. Nice people do bad things. Relationships are complex. Rape is..? Not always simple. The journey for these two characters delicately winds round their attempts to reconcile their many issues. The production teases the audience with humour and honesty. Who is anyone to judge? Is he listening to her? A lovely touch to show us he is not, comes as she explains in sign language. Neither he nor we can understand fully. The best, most thought-provoking show at this year's Fringe.
