Awkward Conversations with Animals I’ve F*cked – Underbelly Cowgate

It delivers exactly what the title says. A young man has post-coital conversation with his most recent partners. From the animal kingdom. And it is hilarious with it. Linus Karp perfectly suits his character, charming us with his honesty and the reasonableness of his argument. Who are we to judge him? The laughs come fewer as the show reaches its conclusion, needing to tell more story and reach a satisfying end. But each encounter raises the stakes and brings guffaws of disbelief from the audience. Was there some recognition? I suspect not, but...

It is well designed with the bedroom offering him different perspectives to converse with his various conquests and the changes are neatly managed.

This winsome, awkward, quirky character presented by Karp is so believable and persuasive that, Members of the Jury, I find him innocent of all charges but guilty of causing unlimited mirth with intent to pervert the course of our evening.
