They really should have decided what they want this show to be. There are sketches, lectures and a repeated love story, but it all adds up to a mess. I couldn't believe that they spent 40% of the show behind the tabs, leaving us to stare at their black curtains. The curtains are good, I know them intimately. Most performers in fringe cando a full costume change quicker than these two can take off a jacket!
There is some good material here, but it has so much padding that we lose interest.Dating through the ages is a nice idea, but they could have done the costume changes onstage to give use something to look at. The daytime TV sketch was very current, but why the lecture on modern masculinity? And the kindergarten sketch was dated and boring. They are personable performers, but I saw little to show they have comedy bones: how can you do a full obsessive fitness routine without raising a laugh?
They can thank their astute choice of a title which will ensnare the prurient as Idoubt if word of mouth will get them an audience.
