A Very British Childhood

This play started well. An early 60s living room and a real life Janet and John who really captured the spirit of the age and delivered that simplistic early reader dialogue cleverly. Sadly it then went downhil. Fast. whilst the premise of the piece is good the script fails to deliver the horror of the story, the direction lacks focus and the remaining cast members simply fall short. What pace there was fell by the wayside during the unnecessary scene changes.
