Livid/Rubbish! - T2138039900

Livid - A trio for women bringing a subtle combination of contemporary and Indian dance. Three characters, captured in light, challenge each other and define the score. It highlights the expressive beauty of Bharata Natyam and its strength of definition; the fighting elements of martial arts, balanced by their healing qualities; the dynamics of contemporary, with a calm centre. Created with dancers [Elizabeth Swinford] and [Shamita Ray]. Rubbish! - Rubbish is a physical and visual performance rooted in Japanese Butoh. It is expressionistic, multi-layered and uses the observed behaviour of homeless people on the street as a starting point. Firak's focus is on the performers own exploration and transformation of body memory. Between mud and sky always in the now.Company Lea Dance. Company Firak Di Bello and Co.
