I missed this show at the Edinburgh Fringe so was glad to have the chance to see it now it is touring. Written and performed by Travis Alabanza this is a response to an attack that occurred to him on Waterloo Bridge when someone threw a burger and abuse at him and no-one stopped to help. To "relaim the burger" Travis then cooks a burger on stage, helped by an invited audience member.
This i apowerfully told and distubing story that causes us all to assess how we would behave if we were witness to this, or any of the other abuses Travis details. Would we intervene? Would we offer support and solidarity? Or would we, like the people on the bridge, simply walk by.
Movingly told, with passion, this is a pplay to make you think and hopeully to change your behaviour for the better
