"In Spotlight" is an initiative to provide a platform for up-and-coming artists to present themselves to audiences in London.

Raam began learning the Veena at a young age & had his initial tutelage under Smt Gopika Nithianandarajah-Jones, and Sri Venkataramani Chandrashekhar. He is currently under the guidance of Dr Shobana Swaminathan & Dr Jayanthi Kumaresh. Alongside being a post-diploma holder in Carnatic Music, he is one of the youngest recipients of the Asian Music Circuit Award, a scholarship for advanced study in Indian Music. Having served as the Orchestra Leader of Samyo, the National Youth Orchestra for Indian Music, Raam is now a member of Tarang, the National Ensemble for Indian Music and has been able to perform at prestigious venues as an ensemble member and soloist across the UK representing both national organisations. Outside of music, he is studying PPE at the University of Warwick. Raam will be accompanied on the Mridangam by Sriram Shriananda. Trina Roy, the eldest grand daughter of Guru Susmita Misra and Late Nrityacharya Pt. Ramgopal Misra and the daughter of Smt Kajal Misra Roy is one of the direct descendants of Kathak Maestro, Late. Pt. Jailal Maharaj. Having taken birth in a family that has dedicated generations to dance, it was but natural that Trina took the responsibility of being a torch bearer for the Jaipur Gharana of Kathak. She has passed NrityaPrabhakar in the year 2007. Her first step on the stage was at the tender age of three. Since then, she has performed in various programmes organized by Jailal Academy of Music in and outside Kolkata. She has also performed in the Seminars organized by Rashtriya Kathak Sansthan, Lucknow, and Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalay (IKSVV). Trina will be accompanied by Dhanraj Persaud and Shreshtho Bhowmik on Tabla. Prabhat Rao will provide vocal support and lehera on the harmonium.
