Bringing together leading musicians from London's West End, the 35 piece Showbiz Pops Orchestra is delighted to present Movie Magic. Conductor, Richard Ward-Roden, along with Guest Presenter, Graham Seed (Nigel Pargetter - "The Archers"), celebrate great film scores as they take the audience on a journey through the best movie music from over 80 years at the cinema. Hear music from The Wizard of Oz, The Dambusters, Lord of the Rings, Prince Caspian, Pirates of the Caribbean and thrill to the adventure and wonder of classic John Williams scores such as E.T., Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars and Harry Potter. Film music is regarded by many to be the classical music of our age and several pieces on tonight's programme ( Ladies in Lavender, The Mission, Harry Potter, Pirates, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark ) are featured regularly in Classic FM's Hall of Fame.
