Cuban-born star dancer Carlos Acosta has created a new ballet based on Marius Petipa's classic choreography of the adventures of Cervantes' bumbling knight, set to Ludwig Minkus' instantly appealing, strongly Spanish influenced music. Don Quixote is a wonderfully entertaining ballet with grand pas de deux and lively crowd scenes.
