Yes... - The Adrian Mitchell Show archiveA celebration of the life and work one of our best-loved, funny, passionate, political and legendary poets, Adrian Mitchell, who died in 2008. Commissioned by The Poetry Trust, this show has been a hot ticket since its premiere at the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival. Wonderful Beast Theatre Company present a highly entertaining selection of his poetry and songs, including the still relevant ?Cutting it Up' (written against arts cuts in the Thatcher years), the heartrending song ?Victor Jara of Chile', the comic verses 'The Plays What I wrote by Shakespeare' (in a virtuoso performance by Lloyd Pack) and the sublime song ?Secret Country' from the RNT production of ?The Pied Piper'. Permeated with jazz and blues, show-stoppingly sung by Adrian's daughter, Sasha Mitchell.
