Details

The aftermath of war. A great city destroyed. The women survive and await their fate. Yesterday the wives and mothers of great men, today the slaves of their tormentors and enemies. Euripides' tragedy explores themes that transcend all barriers of time and location - the horror of war and the suffering of those caught powerless with it.
