Details
The aftermath of war. A great city destroyed. The women survive and await their fate. Yesterday the wives and mothers of great men, today the slaves of their tormentors and enemies. Euripides' tragedy explores themes that transcend all barriers of time and location - the horror of war and the suffering of those caught powerless with it. After phenomenal productions of Hecuba in 2010 and Electra and Orestes in 2011, Lazarus returns to Euripides for this heartfelt, passionate and emotive play. Through the use of text, movement and music an all female ensemble shall create a land of fortitude and hope.
