Romantic music, a candlelit dinner and Jed's hot date on her way. The perfect ingredients for a perfectly planned date. What could go wrong? Jed's new girlfriend, Louise, is coming to dinner. And Jed's cooking. When Dylan, Jed's loser of a flat-mate returns with a stunned chicken, hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing, Jed's forced to go to the supermarket to buy the chicken Dylan forgot to buy. Louise arrives distraught two hours early. She knocked over the chicken. Dylan panics. He always panics. He's spent his life panicking. He rings Jed and tells him not to buy a chicken. Jed doesn't get the message, and the chicken stops breathing. The play tells the story of Dylan's awakening, and his realisation that personal acceptance doesn't mean anything but being yourself.
