War threatens Europe, but in an isolated English village young couples return from the local dance, blushing with memories of stolen kisses...Seventeen-year-old Jimmy Trevenna has always been considered a bit batty by the villagers so when he returns from a night on the moors claiming to have seen an angel, the village dismiss it. As the young men from a rural English village prepare to go over the top their thoughts return to the girls they left behind and Jimmy wonders if he will see his angel again...A lyrical and moving play, examining the effects of World War I on a rural community.
