Rachel, Darren and Tiffany decide to run away from their fighting parents when their dad loses his job and mum has one too many once too often. Cold, lost and frightened in a place not quite Liverpool, they meet an unlikely saviour, in little Jo and her gang. But how can she have been telling tales for a century, how can she conjure demons from thin air? On a night they will never forget, the three learn that there's plenty of magic in the world, if you know where to look.
