1983 play about two women, their jealousies, fears and aspirations. Caroline is pregnant and escapes to her seaside birthplace where she is visited by friends. The reaction of these women to each other whilst awaiting the birth is sensitively and movingly explored revealing the heights and depths of their collective emotions and thoughts.
