Los Angeles, 2001. Mary, a bitter Irish mother, is consumed with the memories of her dead son and husband while she battles with the dreams and aspirations of her past. Her actress daughter, Rosie, and son, Father Dan graciously suffer the brunt of her grievances. When Rosie auditions for a role in a film about the 'Troubles' and the Vatican have knowledge of Dan's Hispanic connections, old wounds are opened and examined with candid intensity.
