It is new year's eve 1959 in New York City as His Royal Hipness Lord Buckley, jazz philospher, scotch-swigging shaman and high sahib of the beat generation hosts an anarchic jazz cabaret in support of Dizzy Gillespie's bid to become President of the United States; all based (very loosely) on a true story.
