Based on Yerma by Garcia Lorca. Using Lorca's classic play as a cutting pattern, CaptiveAudience rework the design and re-stitch a response to Yerma. Yerma charts the story of a woman's desire for motherhood, and the struggle between conforming to society's expectations and giving in to primitive instincts, told in Lorca's characteristic poetic style. Told through strong physical poetry, striking imagery and the power of ritual.
