Details
A deadly rivalry between two great 18th century actors, American heart throb Edwin Forrest and the quintessentially British star William Macready, inflame American vs. English notions of society and class, leading to the New York's Astor Place riots in May 1849 in which 34 people died.
Two Shakespearean Actors is a comic and brutal meditation on theatre, class and notions of identity.
