Billy's complex way of dealing with his absent father, depressed mother, and big sister who lives in a fantasy world is severely put to the test when he is befriended by an elderly woman. Twisted Roots is a compelling play which explores honesty, loyalty, attitudes about age and a child's responsibility to others. Twisted Roots is the first of a series of new plays for over 8's commissioned by Pop-Up from writers with a passion for creating exciting, thought-provoking and relevant work for children.
