Details

Set in Lahore, Tryst takes place at night, beneath the arches of a railway bridge, where a runaway woman's world collides with an ex lunatic asylum inmate. In their brief meeting, these two tormented souls try to understand the new world order created by the recent Partition in Pakistan, whilst at the same time attempting to come to terms with the trials they are enduring themselves. Based on Saadat Hasan Manto's 1955 short story Toba Tek Singh
