This Other Island is a re-working of Aime Cesaire's seminal anti-colonialist version of The Tempest. It weaves the tale of a fantasy land of poetry and dance now ruled by Shakespeare's Caliban, in which concepts of belonging, diversity and otherness are radically questioned. Featuring Inua Ellams, Malika Booker and Warsan Shire, and with choreography by Sean Graham and Ella Mesma, this is a rare opportunity to see some of the UK's finest literary talent collaborate with emerging dancer in the latest stage of this work-in-progress.
