The Novice archiveRichard Eyre's adaptation of Jean Paul Sartre's Les Mains Sales. Originally written in 1948, The Novice, concerns a young man, his young wife, his political enemy (and hero), who he has been ordered to assassinate, and his almost girlfriend. It is about means and ends in politics and in life; about growing up and growing dead.
