Paul and Taylor have been friends since childhood. At Taylor's wedding to the perfectly turned out Cynthia, Paul meets and befriends Cynthia's screwed up sister Libby, with her obsessive love for new brother-in-law to add to her list of grievances against her sister. Cynthia and Taylor seem to be heading for suburban heaven, while Paul and Libby for urban hell, having sex with as many men as possible, and sometimes getting paid for it, while both still in love with Taylor. However, normal expectations of success and happiness are swiftly reversed in this witty, restrained and acute play about love, sex and longing among sisters, friends and gay men. Fast-paced and wise-cracking in a way unique to the best American drama.
