The Life and Times of Young Bob Scallion - a comedy of manners - a trip through the very underbelly of modern life. With a skewed glance at Fielding s Tom Jones and the odd nod at Charles Dickens, Bob Scallion, perennial survivor, embarks on a path of self improvement and fortune seeking! In doing so, he wends and lies his path through the slings, arrows, jail cells, brothels, porn shops, churches and choir practices of Britain, from the 70 s up to the present day. Tommy Marchbank the dubious businessman, Mrs Elizabeth Fairweather - leader of the church spiritual regeneration class and her husband Endacott, dear Molly the good hearted whore, Ted the armed robber and poor Fleg, the ill fated get-away driver, all play their part in Bob s hapless journey, as he slowly comes to realize, 'there ain t neither time nor space in this old world for 'I don t know or 'I never thought - everything has a reason and if you don t know what that reason is, that makes you a sheep ... too late alas.
