Details

The village drama group has lost all its men. The future looks bleak. Then a professional director agrees to help and they enter a Festival of One Act Plays for an All Female Cast. Her play is controversial: it concerns a lesbian couple who want to have a baby. The stage is set for comic misunderstandings, emotional journeys and opposition from the vicar's wife, as the group, which is only used to village drama, wrestles with expanding its understanding of theatre and of life.
