UK Theatre Web: 02Apr01: Star RatingStar RatingStar RatingStar Rating
A splendidly entertaining romp set in a time of pre-war nostalgic enchantment close to Transylvania that allows you to put the brain into neutral. The cast performs with gusto and quick changes are de rigueur. Impossible to play straight in the light of the shift in attitudes since the 30s, but suspend your belief and hold tight for a most enjoyable train ride. An excellent set adds much to the ambience.
