Details
With great clarity and humour, The Just Price of Flowers illuminates the complex mechanisms that led to 2008's financial meltdown. Set in 17th Century Holland, at the height of Tulipmania and inspired by Brecht, it uses two songs and twenty-one short scenes to show how borrowing a few guilders to buy a tulip bulb can escalate to fortunes riding on credit default swaps. This 'austerity production' is performed with origami props and recycled costumes.
