The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes remains as popular as ever. Set to the dramatic, evocative music of Dorset composer Helen Porter, and performed by seven soloists with a chamber ensemble of some of the country's finest performers, this staged concert will also feature exquisite live shadow animation by the internationally acclaimed Joe Gladwin (Paperplays). The performance also includes settings of six short dramatic narratives, including 'The Mistletoe Bough', 'Bishop Hatto and the Rats', A Trampwoman's Tragedy' and 'The Spider and the Fly'. Seven 'moral' tales span the length and breadth of human folly with passion humour, horror and beauty. A truly exciting musical experience for adults and children alike.
