The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child archiveThe Gruffalo - Follow Mouse into the deep dark wood on a hunt for hazelnuts. Armed with just a nut map and a very vivid imagination, Mouse runs into the smirking, wheeler-dealer Fox; an eccentric, retired Woodland Air Force officer Owl; and the maraca-shaking, part animal Snake. Rather than becoming the main course of their next meal, Mouse scares them away with stories of an imaginary monster friend, but what happens when he comes face to face with the very creature he imagined? For 3-6 year olds. The Gruffalo's Child - The Gruffalo said that no gruffalo should ever set foot in the deep dark wood... But one wild and windy night the Gruffalo's child ignores her father's warning and tiptoes out into the snow. After all, the Big Bad Mouse doesn't really exist... does he? Julia Donaldson's captivating sequel to life in a musical, magical adaptation. Songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged 3 and up, and their adults. Audiences can venture into the deep, dark wood in an enchanting double-bill for younger children featuring the acclaimed animation The Gruffalo and its successor The Gruffalo's Child, based on the books of Julia Donaldson. The Northern Sinfonia, led by Terry Davies, will accompany the Gruffalo's adventures with a live performance of Rene Aubry's score. Each performance lasts approximately 90 minutes including a 20 minute interval
