UK Theatre Web: 19Oct03: Star RatingStar RatingStar RatingStar Rating
Despite the fuss made about Glynis Barber not wanting to play the role of Mrs Robinson the way her stage predicessor's performed Mrs Robinson, The Graduate was a funny and entertaining evenings theatre. Despite the Cliff's Pavillion being half empty ( an own goal by the manager making the fuss instead of keeping quiet ) the audience who did attend were entertained with a humourous performance as the hapless hero is first seduced by Mrs Robinson, then finds himself getting further out od his depth as he then falls for his seductress' daughter. As for "that" scene it doesn't really matter how it is played as it is brief and in subdued light so any tittliation value is minimal.
